Sharp, colorless, water-clear crystal of topaz from a classic Japanese locality. The crystal faces are lustrous and selectively striated. The bottom of the crystal is cleaved from where it was attached to matrix; otherwise it is in excellent condtion. With a 19th century George English label; the address on the label dates it to 1893-1898. 2.9 x 2.6 x 2.4 cm.
